    UBC Marketing Summit 2008 organized in Hyderabad on May 22, 2008, received a very good response from the marketing and advertising fraternity of Hyderabad. The celebrity speaker Mr. Alyque Padamsee was terrific and audience was literally awe struck by him.

    Mr. Sudhanshu Vats enlightened the delegates with his ideas on "Holistic Brand Building", where he suggested that corporate social responsibility should be an integral part of any company’s strategy. He also emphasized the need of being honest and transparent to your customers in advertising, marketing and product sales, which according to him is the basic of building a relationship with the customer.

    Ms. Reema Sarin talked about "What’s working in Marketing". Her discussion revolved around the latest trends and tools of marketing and the importance of color, font, and size in logo formation.

    Mr. Alyque Padamsee with all his theatrical expressions engrossed all the attention of everybody in the hall as he delivered talks on "Ideation – the key to marketing magic". Quoting Mr. Padamsee "People and ideas are the real assets for any organization and not its machinery, furniture, computers of wealth" His message to all the young marketers out there was – make your creative muscle work. He shared his experiences about how did he start his career as a marketing manager till today where he is addressed as the 'ad guru' of India. He told ideation and thinking differently is the key to be a good marketer.

    The profile of delegates included marketing, advertising, PR, corporate communications, marketing communication professionals from all the major corporate of Hyderabad; GMR, Dr Reddys, Satyam to name a few. The audience had a decent mix of representation from large corporate as well as SME, entrepreneurs, agencies and students

    Mr. Padamsee also addressed the media at this summit, who were anxiously waiting for him to give his views on various current trends. Almost all the regional TV channels and Newspapers had covered UBC Marketing Summit 2008.

    Lot of Humor, showing landmark advertisements, high interactivity with the audience formed the highlights of Mr. Padamsee's session and delegates were left asking for more. Mr. Padamsee had a flight to catch to Mumbai and so he left the audience with lot of informatio, knowledge and great memories of his talks.
