Urvashi Baid

UBC is the brainchild of Prof. Urvashi Baid. Urvashi has earned her MBA from Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, in Marketing and Information Systems after doing her B.A (English) Hons from Delhi University. Besides these qualifications, she has attended various courses like EFFECTIVE MARKETING MANAGEMENT from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon; MARKETING : THE WINNING CONCEPTS & PRACTICES from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow; CII MARKETING SUMMIT; BRAND SUMMIT organized by GCM Worldwide and many more. Her quest for knowledge makes it easy for her to be updated with the current trends in Marketing.

She started her career with CARRIER AIRCON LIMITED, Delhi - Totaline Division – the world's largest network of air-conditioning and refrigeration spares super stores. After successfully establishing the brand single-handedly, amongst its niche target audience, she moved on to a broader target audience with air-conditioners. She worked with VOLTAS LTD (Cooling Appliances Business Division), Delhi as a Brand Manager handling North, Central and Eastern part of India. She was instrumental in giving the brand Voltas a makeover and establishing Vertis as the most preferred brand of customers. She spearheaded the PR Campaign of BIG 92.7 FM for their first station launch in Hyderabad.

She has been actively involved in Academics and Consultancy. A firm believer of "Theory is as important as experience" she has been a Visiting Faculty at Ad Club of Madras - Chennai, IIPM - Chennai, ICFAITECH – Hyderabad, Maharishi Institute of Management – Hyderabad & Wigan & Leigh College - Hyderabad.

The underline theme of her life is "Nothing is Impossible" and with unlimited energy levels she leads from the front!
